Knowledge for climate-neutral construction sector
Knowledge-based roadmap for the climate-neutral building sector, KF4KB, compiles the most up-to-date knowledge of solutions for a climate-neutral building sector.
During 2021 and 2022, the project will systematically gather international knowledge about multisectoral solutions for the construction sector's climate change. The focus is on emission reduction measures linked to the energy system and industrial development, as well as non-technical measures such as behavior, circular and sharing economy and feasibility.
The project will identify cutting-edge competencies, research and solutions from Swedish actors at local and national level, make them visible internationally and produce a basis for the design of clear strategies and measures for a climate-neutral building sector in Sweden.
Literature on the role of buildings in climate change
Early in the project, the latest scientific literature is compiled that deals with the role of buildings in climate change. The literature is examined through two systematic reviews.
The project contributes directly to the IPCC's sixth evaluation report (AR6), mainly through project manager Erika Mata, who is the lead author of Chapter 9, Buildings.
Report for the Swedish market
After the literature review, a report is written that is adapted to the players in the Swedish market. The report summarizes Chapter 9, Buildings, in the IPCC's AR6 based on the needs of Swedish actors. In addition, stakeholders in the working group will identify key issues for the construction sector in Sweden to achieve the goal of climate neutrality, which the report will answer.
Welcome to participate in the project
Participants from the Swedish construction sector are welcome to join the project to contribute important points of view and take part in project results.
