Swedish Cleantech – Platform to showcase Swedish cleantech solutions

Swedish Cleantech was a platform that gathered information about Swedish companies in the cleantech sector and showcased innovative solutions from Sweden to an international audience. The overall aim was to promote commercialisation and export of Swedish environmental technology, attract investments and reinforce Sweden’s brand as a hotspot for smart and sustainable solutions. The Swedish Cleantech assignment concluded in December 2025.

Through facts, statistics, news articles, and a searchable database with eight relevant categories and sub-categories, SwedishCleantech.com helped international stakeholders discover solutions, connect with Swedish companies, and identify business opportunities in Sweden.

At the same time, the platform increased the visibility of Swedish companies of all sizes and supported them in reaching potential partners, buyers, and investors both in Sweden and abroad.

By the end of 2025, the website listed nearly 1,000 Swedish cleantech companies and received over 100,000 visitors from across the world.

The Swedish Cleantech project was managed by IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute on behalf of The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket).
