eBVD - digital environmental information

eBVD i Norden AB provides a system for registering electronic building product declarations and is jointly owned by IVL and Construction Products Sweden.

Through a digital service, the eBVD system provides a tool that enables manufacturers of construction products and building materials to easily register and manage their digital environmental information in the form of electronic building product declarations.

An electronic construction product declaration, an eBVD, is an industry format meant to create traceability through the value chain, as well as constitute the basis for assessment and choice between different products/materials.

It is the supplier who completes an eBVD for their own products and materials. In other words, eBVD is a self-declaration system. An eBVD can either be completed manually directly in the tool or via an import file, allowing multiple products to be imported at the same time.

In eBVD, all published information is available in digital form. This means that the same content found in the downloadable PDF file can also be accessed in a structured and machine-readable format. Instead of manually searching for and downloading an eBVD as a PDF, eBVD can be integrated directly with your own systems and databases.
