In the present study the main task is to develop a dynamic simulation model of organic waste handling and treatment. It is implemented on a computer to faciliate simulaitons experiments of different scenarios. The experience will be planned in such a way that they show effects of different handling methods and logistic operations, different treatments, different uses of rest products and influencs of waste quantities and quality. The base hypothesis is that society handles organic waste in a sub optimal way. The overall objective of the research project is to evaluate this hypothesis. Sub-objectives are: - to find optimal strategies for handling an treatment of organic wastes for a geographical area with high density population and several industies producing organic wastes. - to choose this example in such a way that generalised knowledge can be gained regarding other areas of similar kind. - to identify future needs for research an development of exisiting and new methods and processes for handling an treatment of organic wastes.
