Lowering Hinderance for Air Pollution Mitigation in Africa
Through case studies within the Agenda 2030 project “From Air Quality Data to Actions for Clean Air in Africa“ covering South Africa, Kenya, and Sweden, we will share experiences of addressing institutional, technical, social, and governance-related barriers to action for cleaner air.
We are also pleased to welcome Stefan Åström, who will present The Framework for International Cooperation on Air Pollution (FICAP): Supporting Action for Clean Air. He will provide an overview of FICAP and discuss how international cooperation can strengthen policy development and support effective action to improve air quality.
In addition, we are pleased to welcome Maina Muniafu, who will present on citizen science, highlighting how participatory approaches can contribute to air quality monitoring, community engagement, and informed action for cleaner air.The webinar will conclude with an open discussion, providing space to reflect together on how challenges to air pollution mitigation can be addressed across different contexts, and how enabling conditions for sustained action can be strengthened.
This webinar is the second session in a two-part webinar series. More information about the first webinar can be found here: From Air Quality Data to Actions for Clean Air in Africa - IVL.se
