From Vision to Investment – Realising Green Shipping Corridors in the Nordics
How can green shipping corridors move from ambition to reality? Join us in Gothenburg for a one-day conference bringing together key stakeholders across the maritime value chain to explore how to turn vision into bankable projects.
As part of the Nordic Roadmap – Future Fuels for Shipping Programme Phase 2, IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute and Lighthouse invite you to a full-day conference focused on accelerating the development of green shipping corridors in the Nordics.
The transition to fossil-free shipping requires more than technological innovation – it demands collaboration across sectors and concrete pathways to investment. This conference brings together policymakers, ports, fuel producers, shipowners, financial actors and research organisations to share insights and experiences from across the value chain.
Throughout the day, we will explore what it takes to realise green shipping corridors in practice, with a particular focus on how to develop projects that are viable, scalable and ready for investment. Participants will gain insights into the latest policy developments from the EU and IMO, as well as funding opportunities and Nordic initiatives driving the maritime transition forward.
The programme includes expert presentations, panel discussions and interactive sessions highlighting lessons learned from early movers and ongoing projects. A key focus will be identifying the critical steps needed to move from concept to implementation – and ultimately to accelerate the uptake of sustainable fuels in shipping.
The conference will also present selected case corridors supported by the Nordic Roadmap Phase 2, followed by a joint discussion on challenges, opportunities and priority actions for scaling green shipping corridors in the region.
