From Air Quality Data to Actions for Clean Air in Africa

This webinar will showcase practical examples of how air quality data can be translated into concrete actions for cleaner air. Through case studies within the Agenda 2030 project “From Air Quality Data to Actions for Clean Air in Africa“ covering South Africa, Kenya, and Sweden, we will share experiences on using air quality monitoring, data interpretation, and stakeholder engagement to support decision-making and real-world interventions.

We are also pleased to welcome our invited speaker Bertrand Tchanche, Co-founder of the African Society for Air Quality (ASAQ), will present on air quality in Africa, providing a continental perspective on current challenges, research developments, and capacity-building efforts. He will also introduce ASAQ and its work dedicated to advancing air quality research, collaboration, and policy engagement across Africa.

The webinar will conclude with an open discussion, providing space to reflect together on how air quality data can be more effectively used to drive action, inform policy, and support cleaner air initiatives across different contexts.

We hope you will be able to join us for this exchange of experiences and ideas.

This webinar is the first webinar in a two-part webinar series. More information about the second webinar can be found here: Lowering Hinderance for Air Pollution Mitigation in Africa - IVL.se
