Urban Lunch Talk: From Soil to City: Lessons on Urban Food Production
On 13th November, Cameron Kennett had the pleasure of participating in the Urban Lunch Talk Series. During the session, discussions revolved around how food production within cities can act as a lever for climate action, biodiversity, and circularity. The session highlighted how urban agriculture also strengthens community resilience by fostering inclusion, education, and social engagement.
The discussion addressed where urban food production is most viable, how practices and priorities have shifted since the COVID-19 pandemic, and what is required to replicate and scale innovation across European cities. Cameron Kennett had the pleasure of acting as ambassador for the FOCUSE project to reflect on and share the many experiments, educational activities, and results obtained so far.
