Urban Deli hosts Urban Farming breakfast seminar
Urban Deli is celebrating its 15th anniversary with an exciting breakfast seminar on urban and vertical farming. In collaboration with researchers from IVL and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Urban Deli will host a one-hour seminar focusing on cutting-edge farming systems, sustainability, and circularity in food production.
Attendees can look forward to insights into lighting effects on crops, energy-efficient systems, and innovative business models in urban agriculture.
The seminar is part of a series of talks named “Breakfast Talk” that are hosted once a month at Urban Deli. A platform where the future of food is discussed accompanied by some nice breakfast.
Following the seminar, Urban Deli Hagastaden will also offer kid-friendly activities. Preschool children from the nearby area have been invited to explore urban farming through hands-on crafts and planting sessions. The event is designed to inspire curiosity about growing food in the city and will include interactive sessions, a chance to plant seeds, and complimentary falukorv-burgers for the young attendees.
Throughout the duration of FOCUSE, Urban Deli acts as a dissemination partner. Experiments in the project will be performed in small-scale vertical farms at Urban Deli. Urban Deli is a concept where deli-meets-restaurant-meets-store.
