– Smart City Sweden is a very important assignment for IVL and it is with pleasure that I welcome Gina as the new project manager. With her competence and experience in business development and international work, she will be able to lead and develop the project and the platform further, says Anna Jarnehammar, unit manager for business development and marketing at IVL.

Gina joins us most recently from the auditing and consulting company EY, where she has worked as a management consultant. Prior to that, she worked at both Teracom and Ericsson with business development and sales in focus. During her time at Ericsson, she worked with digitization solutions for industries such as the energy industry, transport and security, where smart cities were an important part. The work also involved handling international delegations in search of new technical solutions.

– I have always been interested in international business development and working with Swedish exports of sustainable solutions feels like a very exciting assignment. I look forward to working closely with the Swedish Energy Agency to drive the development of Smart City Sweden, says Gina Aspelin Hedbring.

Gina Aspelin Hedbring will take up the role in August and work in the office in Stockholm. Smart City Sweden's assignment also includes five regional offices that receive visitors, seven authorities that contribute expert knowledge in their areas and Business Sweden. More than 100 visitor objects from all over Sweden are connected to the platform, several of which can be visited virtually.
