Net zero emissions with Mistra Carbon Exit

The interdisciplinary research program Mistra Carbon Exit addresses the tough goal of zero net emissions of greenhouse gases by 2045. The program analyzes and identifies the technical, economic and political challenges that Sweden faces and proposes how Swedish industry can adapt to meet this goal.

Mistra Carbon Exit works with cross-sectoral analyzes of supply chains, from raw materials, over primary and secondary activities, to end products and services. The program focuses on the supply chains for buildings, transport and transport infrastructure. Together, these account for at least 75 percent of Sweden's total carbon dioxide emissions.

IVL Swedish Environmental Institute leads the program together with Chalmers and forms a strong consortium with a large number of other universities, colleges, industries and organizations.
